Opening of Archives and Museum
ASJA's Historic Islamic Archives and Museum was formally opened on Saturday April 14th, 2012, at Asja's Haji Shafik Rahaman Education Complex, Asja Avenue, Charlieville, by the Acting Prime Minister, the Honourable Mr. Winston Dookeran.
The Archives and Museum features numerous items of interest. Brothers and Sisters are however, still requested to donate items such as old books, photographs, documents, Islamic clothing and other islamic items, antique household items, old islamic magazines, artefacts etc.
We also need information to continue documenting and updating the history of Islam, muslims, asja, and their contributions to civilisation. Information is also needed on our past pioneers, history of our masaajid, imams, schools, etc.
